We met this chirpy and bold individual at Thrissur, a bride-to-be, Vilma- on the day before her wedding. It was a jovial gathering of Vilma’s family members, who had come together to ward off the evil spirits and keep the beautiful bride safe. Basically, we were covering the Haldi ceremony where the bride is smeared with haldi all over the body, which is a symbolic ritual that is carried out in order to keep buri nazar away. It was a very cheerful event where we found a lot of merrious greets and laughter. The next event, the Sangeeth was also a grand event that unfolded with celebration in the air. On the morning of the wedding, the groom and the groomsmen were all decked up in ritzy suits. While on the other side the bride and her band of bridesmaids were all looking so pretty in their wedding attires. The wedding ceremonies were conducted at the church in Thrissur. It was traditional Christian wedding with the majestic backdrop of the alluring church giving it a regal touch. Later that evening at the reception function the bride and groom danced, revelling in their communion. This was followed by a father-daughter dance which was a moving moment. With a lot of fun games, firecrackers, and gaiety events the night concluded on a very happy note. We wish the happy couple a prosperous life ahead!
